Meet the Seavers is an unusual musical duo known for their eclectic and unique sound, blending elements of jazz, swing, vaudeville, and more. Comprising husband-and-wife team Jace Kent and Dorothy Gilmore /Seavers, they formed in Nashville, Tennessee, though they’ve recently returned to Jace’s hometown of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Their music defies easy categorization—often described as “New Avant-garde Swing” by fans—featuring fearless original compositions with odd time signatures, hypnotic basslines, and stunningly poetic lyrics.
